Michelin-star CÉPAGE is hosting guest Chef Armin Leitgeb from Singapore’s legendary Les Amis on the 6, 7 & 8 October 2011.

The celebrated Austrian chef is presenting an exquisite gourmet dinner on October 6, 7 and 8, priced at HK$1,780 – and a HK$780 lunch on
October 7 and 8.

With just limited seating to just 35 for lunch for 45 for dinner, guests are urged to book well in advance. For the three days, this will be the only menu served at CÉPAGE, a Hong Kong sister restaurant of the Les Amis Group.

The exquisite 8-course gastronomic dinner menu is introduced by grilled Spanish octopus, caviar & blinis, and Alaskan king crab and avocado.

It continues with his signature appetiser lightly smoked eel ‘tiede’ with crispy pork croutons, roasted baby monkfish, Ciabatta wrapped crispy egg, and Joselito Iberico ham with spinach and black truffles.

Main course is char grilled Wagyu ‘Calotte de boeuf’ with truffled French fries. “Sunny side up” with pineapple & chili and dessert of ‘Fancy lemon tarte’ and thyme ice cream complete the rare treat for local gourmets.

Lunch is a scaled-down, 4-course version with grilled Spanish octopus and smoked eel introducing poached Maine lobster with chanterelle risotto, char-grilled Wagyu rib eye with Perigourdine sauce, and lemon tart dessert.

Chef Leitgeb was mentored by some of the world’s most accomplished multi-Michelin star chefs – from the Pourcel brothers at Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier to Thomas Keller at The French Laundry in California’s Napa Valley.

Nestled between Wanchai and Central in the stylish Star Street precinct with one of the finest wine cellars in Asia, CÉPAGE is styled after an 18th century French villa, blending old world opulence with cutting-edge design.

As well as its Michelin star in 2010 and 2011, CÉPAGE was also ranked among the S. Pellegrino’s prestigious 100 World’s Best Restaurants in 2010.
